Welcome to The Wisdom Cup
The Wisdom Cup is a sports and community engagement program operated by WisdomPhilanthropy Inc. Our mission is to bring individuals, teams, and communities together through organized competition, teamwork, personal development, and meaningful community service.
More Than a Game. Stronger Communities.
These policies explain the rights, responsibilities, expectations, and conditions associated with visiting our website, participating in competitions, volunteering, sponsoring events, and engaging with Wisdom Cup activities.
The Wisdom Cup is a program of WisdomPhilanthropy Inc. It is not represented as a separately incorporated organization. Unless otherwise expressly stated in an approved written agreement, WisdomPhilanthropy Inc. is the responsible legal entity for program administration and contractual arrangements.
Participation in a Wisdom Cup activity may be subject to additional territory-specific rules, official tournament regulations, signed agreements, consent forms, and applicable laws.
1. Organization and Legal Responsibility
1.1 Program ownership
The Wisdom Cup is established and operated by WisdomPhilanthropy Inc.
WisdomPhilanthropy Inc. is responsible for the overall governance of the program, including authorized activities, financial administration, policies, partnerships, and oversight.
Local competitions may be organized with approved schools, clubs, sporting organizations, venues, volunteers, and community partners.
Such relationships do not automatically make those parties employees, agents, or legal representatives of WisdomPhilanthropy Inc.
1.2 Program territories
The Wisdom Cup is designed as a multi-territory initiative.
Our initial planned program territories include:
- United States: Wisdom Cup USA, initially focused on a proposed Greater Orlando, Florida pilot.
- Jamaica: Wisdom Cup Jamaica, with future competition details to be announced.
- Future territories: Additional countries, states, parishes, municipalities, and regions may be introduced following organizational approval.
A territory's appearance on the website does not establish that a competition is active, that registration is open, or that a venue or event date has been confirmed.
1.3 Local laws
Each Wisdom Cup competition is subject to the mandatory laws and regulations applicable in its location.
These may include requirements governing youth sports, child protection, event permits, venue safety, insurance, employment, volunteers, fundraising, consumer protection, payments, accessibility, and privacy.
Where a local mandatory legal requirement conflicts with a general Wisdom Cup policy, the applicable law takes precedence.
2. Website Terms of Use
2.1 Acceptance
By accessing or using the Wisdom Cup website, visitors agree to comply with applicable website terms and lawful instructions.
Participation in a tournament requires separate acceptance of the official competition rules and any required registration, consent, and safety documentation.
2.2 Permitted use
Visitors may use the website to:
- Learn about the program and competitions.
- View approved tournament information and results.
- Express interest in participating.
- Submit legitimate sponsorship and volunteer inquiries.
- Access approved community impact information.
- Communicate with program representatives.
Users must not interfere with website security, impersonate others, submit fraudulent information, harvest personal data, or attempt unauthorized access.
2.3 Accuracy of information
WisdomPhilanthropy endeavors to publish accurate program information.
However, proposed tournament details, projected schedules, estimated fees, sponsorship opportunities, and planned activities are subject to confirmation.
Information identified as provisional must not be treated as a binding offer or confirmed commitment.
2.4 Accounts
Where participant or administrator accounts are available, account holders must protect their credentials and provide accurate information.
Accounts may be suspended or restricted where necessary to protect participants, investigate misuse, enforce policies, or comply with law.
Account holders must not share access with unauthorized individuals.
2.5 Intellectual property
The Wisdom Cup name, approved branding, original website materials, tournament graphics, publications, and other protected materials belong to WisdomPhilanthropy Inc. or their respective rights holders, as applicable.
No visitor receives permission to commercially reproduce or exploit these materials without authorization.
Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
3. Tournament Registration and Eligibility
3.1 Registration requirements
All teams and participants must satisfy the requirements published for their specific tournament.
Registration may require:
- Accurate team and representative information.
- Applicable age verification.
- Eligibility documentation.
- Approved team rosters.
- Parent or guardian consent for minors.
- Acceptance of competition rules.
- Completion of required safeguarding and health acknowledgments.
- Payment of approved registration fees, where applicable.
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
3.2 Age divisions
The Wisdom Cup may organize youth and adult divisions.
The proposed USA pilot currently contemplates youth participants aged 12–17 and adult participants aged 18 and older.
These are planning categories. Final competition age brackets, cutoff dates, eligibility rules, and any permitted exceptions will be published before registration opens.
A participant may not enter an ineligible division or misrepresent their age or identity.
3.3 Team responsibility
Each registered team must designate an authorized adult representative.
That representative is responsible for providing accurate team information, communicating official notices, coordinating documentation, and ensuring that team members understand applicable rules.
Teams must not submit another person's personal information without appropriate authority.
3.4 Registration approval
Applications may be accepted, waitlisted, returned for additional information, or declined according to published eligibility and capacity criteria.
Acceptance becomes effective only when all mandatory registration conditions are satisfied and the organizer issues confirmation.
3.5 Fraud and misrepresentation
False identification, forged consent, ineligible participants, roster manipulation, duplicate identities, or deliberate concealment of material information may result in disqualification and other appropriate action.
Decisions must be documented and subject to the applicable review or appeal process.
4. Competition Rules and Sporting Conduct
4.1 Official rules
Every tournament must publish its own official competition regulations before registration opens.
These must identify:
- The applicable sport and division.
- Age and roster eligibility.
- Competition format.
- Match duration.
- Substitution rules.
- Equipment requirements.
- Scheduling procedures.
- Scoring and standings methods.
- Tie-breakers.
- Forfeits and postponements.
- Disciplinary procedures.
- Appeals.
- Championship qualification.
Rules may differ by territory, sport, division, or season.
4.2 Fair play
Participants must demonstrate honesty, sportsmanship, respect, and compliance with official instructions.
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Physical assault or threats.
- Bullying, harassment, or intimidation.
- Discriminatory abuse.
- Deliberate dangerous play.
- Cheating or match manipulation.
- Bribery or improper influence over officials.
- Abuse directed at referees or volunteers.
- Deliberate damage to facilities.
- Unauthorized entry onto playing areas.
4.3 Officials and decisions
Authorized referees and tournament officials administer competitions according to the published rules.
On-field judgment decisions are ordinarily final unless a specific review mechanism is provided.
Eligibility violations, administrative errors, disciplinary matters, and scoring corrections may be reviewed under the published appeals process.
4.4 Disciplinary action
Depending on the seriousness of a violation, disciplinary measures may include warnings, suspensions, forfeitures, removal from venues, disqualification, or exclusion from future events.
Serious safeguarding concerns may require immediate protective action, regardless of the ordinary disciplinary timetable.
4.5 Protests and appeals
Each competition must publish its protest submission method, filing deadline, evidence requirements, reviewer authority, and decision procedure.
A person directly involved in a disputed decision must not serve as its sole appeal reviewer.
5. Community Challenge and Impact Verification
Community service is an essential element of the Wisdom Cup program.
5.1 Project participation
Teams may be required to complete an approved community service project as part of tournament participation or championship eligibility.
Projects must be lawful, appropriate for participants, and consistent with WisdomPhilanthropy's charitable and community objectives.
5.2 Project approval
Teams must obtain approval before presenting a project as an official Wisdom Cup activity.
Approval may depend on safety, feasibility, supervision, beneficiary needs, permissions, and available resources.
5.3 Verification
Community impact claims must be supported by appropriate evidence.
Evidence may include verified participation records, approved photographs, partner confirmations, activity reports, or measurable project outcomes.
Teams must not fabricate volunteer hours, beneficiary totals, financial contributions, or project results.
5.4 Impact scoring
Where community impact contributes to tournament awards, the applicable scoring formula and evaluation criteria must be published before the competition begins.
The proposed 60% sports and 40% community impact formula is not final until formally approved.
Independent reviewers must assess submissions, with appropriate safeguards against conflicts of interest.
5.5 Project safety
Community projects involving minors, vulnerable individuals, physical labor, transportation, food distribution, medical settings, or private property require additional safeguards and permissions.
Teams may not conduct hazardous activities in the Wisdom Cup name without express authorization.
6. Youth Protection and Safeguarding
WisdomPhilanthropy is committed to providing a respectful and protective environment for children and young people.
6.1 Adult supervision
Youth activities must have appropriate adult supervision, designated responsible personnel, and established emergency procedures.
Adults must not exploit positions of authority or engage in inappropriate relationships or conduct involving minors.
6.2 Screening
Coaches, referees, volunteers, administrators, and other individuals whose roles involve minors may be subject to legally required background screening, identity verification, training, and eligibility checks.
No individual may bypass required screening by volunteering informally or acting on behalf of a participating team.
6.3 Prohibited conduct
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Sexual abuse or exploitation.
- Grooming or inappropriate communication.
- Physical abuse.
- Emotional abuse or humiliation.
- Bullying and harassment.
- Discriminatory mistreatment.
- Retaliation against anyone reporting a concern.
6.4 Communications with minors
Official communications concerning youth participation should involve authorized parents, guardians, or approved team representatives.
Private one-to-one communications between adults and unrelated minors must be restricted under the applicable safeguarding policy.
6.5 Reporting concerns
Suspected abuse, exploitation, or immediate danger must be reported promptly through designated safeguarding channels and, where required, to the appropriate public authorities.
Internal review does not replace mandatory reporting obligations.
6.6 Photography and identification
Youth photographs, video recordings, names, and identifying information must be managed under approved consent and privacy procedures.
Publicly displaying a minor's date of birth, home address, private contact information, or sensitive records is prohibited.
7. Health, Medical Safety and Emergency Procedures
7.1 Athletic risks
Sports participation involves inherent physical risks, including falls, collisions, sprains, fractures, heat-related illness, concussion, and other injuries.
WisdomPhilanthropy will establish reasonable safety procedures appropriate to each event.
Participants and guardians must receive relevant risk information before participation.
7.2 Medical disclosures
Where necessary and lawful, participants may be required to provide limited emergency contact and medical information relevant to safe participation.
Medical information must be protected and accessible only to authorized personnel with a legitimate need.
7.3 Concussion procedures
A participant suspected of suffering a concussion or serious head injury must be removed from activity and managed under the applicable return-to-play protocol.
Youth participants may not return until legally required medical clearance has been obtained.
7.4 Weather and environmental conditions
Events may be delayed, suspended, relocated, or canceled because of:
- Lightning or severe weather.
- Excessive heat.
- Unsafe air quality.
- Flooding.
- Unsafe playing surfaces.
- Facility hazards.
- Public safety emergencies.
Participant safety takes precedence over scheduled competition.
7.5 Emergency response
Each event must have an approved emergency action plan covering medical response, emergency access, incident reporting, communications, evacuation, and available safety equipment.
7.6 Insurance and liability
Applicable insurance requirements will be established before events begin.
Participant accident coverage, general liability coverage, volunteer coverage, and venue insurance arrangements may differ by territory and event.
No coverage should be assumed unless confirmed in writing.
Participation agreements may include appropriately drafted risk acknowledgments and liability provisions, subject to applicable law. Nothing in these policies waives rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
8. Volunteers
8.1 Volunteer opportunities
Wisdom Cup volunteers may assist with registration, hospitality, logistics, community projects, communications, spectator support, and other approved activities.
Volunteer participation is subject to available opportunities, screening, training, and organizational approval.
8.2 Volunteer status
Submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee placement.
Volunteering does not automatically create an employment relationship or entitlement to compensation.
Any reimbursement arrangements must be approved in advance.
8.3 Conduct and confidentiality
Volunteers must follow official instructions, protect confidential information, respect participants, and report safety concerns.
Volunteers may not independently enter agreements, solicit funds, represent themselves as authorized spokespersons, or commit WisdomPhilanthropy to expenditures.
8.4 Youth-facing assignments
Volunteers working with minors must satisfy all applicable safeguarding and screening requirements before receiving access.
8.5 Removal
WisdomPhilanthropy may remove or reassign volunteers for legitimate safety, conduct, operational, or compliance reasons, subject to applicable law.
9. Sponsorships, Partners and Corporate Participation
9.1 Sponsorship inquiries
Businesses and organizations may inquire about supporting Wisdom Cup through financial contributions, in-kind assistance, equipment, facilities, media support, or community initiatives.
An inquiry does not establish a sponsorship agreement.
9.2 Written agreements
Formal sponsorship arrangements must be documented in an authorized written agreement identifying the parties, benefits, deliverables, financial commitments, term, cancellation provisions, and applicable territory.
9.3 Brand and logo usage
A sponsor's name, logo, trademark, or promotional materials may be used only with appropriate authorization and in accordance with agreed brand requirements.
Likewise, third parties may not imply official Wisdom Cup sponsorship or endorsement without approval.
9.4 Prospective sponsors
Companies identified as potential sponsorship prospects are not official sponsors unless a partnership has been confirmed.
The inclusion of a company in a prospective outreach list does not indicate its endorsement, affiliation, financial support, or participation.
9.5 Sponsor influence
Sponsorship does not grant authority to determine match results, influence referees, manipulate community impact scores, override safeguarding decisions, or determine participant eligibility.
9.6 Restricted sponsorships
WisdomPhilanthropy may decline sponsorships that conflict with its mission, applicable laws, youth protection responsibilities, or organizational standards.
Additional restrictions may apply to products and promotions involving minors, including alcohol, tobacco, gambling, and other age-restricted activities.
9.7 Sponsorship payments and charitable treatment
Sponsorship payments and charitable contributions are not necessarily treated the same for accounting or tax purposes.
The existence of a charitable organization does not mean that every sponsorship payment or registration fee is tax-deductible.
Any charitable acknowledgment or tax representation must accurately reflect the transaction and applicable law.
10. Registration Fees, Refunds and Financial Policies
10.1 Fees
Tournament registration fees, if applicable, will be disclosed before payment.
Published fees must identify the applicable tournament, currency, payment conditions, and relevant cancellation or refund rules.
10.2 No guaranteed placement
Payment alone does not override eligibility, safeguarding, roster, or tournament acceptance requirements.
10.3 Refunds
Each tournament must publish a specific refund and cancellation schedule before accepting fees.
Refund eligibility may depend on whether a team withdraws, an event is canceled, registration is rejected, or an organizer materially changes the competition.
Refund terms must comply with applicable consumer protection laws and payment-provider requirements.
10.4 Cancellations
If an event cannot proceed, participants will be informed of available remedies under the published tournament terms and applicable law.
The organization will not describe registration fees as nonrefundable without an approved, lawful, clearly disclosed policy.
10.5 Donations
Voluntary donations to WisdomPhilanthropy are separate from tournament registration fees.
Donating does not confer preferential sporting treatment, guaranteed registration, special eligibility, or competitive advantage.
11. Spectators, Venues and Event Access
11.1 Venue rules
All attendees must comply with venue safety requirements, lawful instructions, and published event conditions.
11.2 Prohibited behavior
Violence, threats, harassment, unauthorized entry, dangerous objects, vandalism, and interference with matches are prohibited.
11.3 Children attending events
Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising children attending as spectators unless an approved supervised program expressly provides otherwise.
11.4 Photography and recording
Photography, livestreaming, and commercial recording may be restricted to protect minors, privacy, broadcasting rights, and event operations.
Credentialed media must follow approved access conditions.
11.5 Accessibility
Wisdom Cup will seek to provide reasonable accessibility arrangements consistent with applicable laws and venue capabilities.
Visitors requiring accommodations should use the designated contact channel before an event when practical.
12. Privacy and Personal Data Protection
12.1 Responsible organization
WisdomPhilanthropy Inc. is responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing personal information for Wisdom Cup activities, except where another party independently or jointly determines those purposes under applicable law.
12.2 Information collected
Depending on the service, information may include:
- Names and contact details.
- Team and organization information.
- Registration and eligibility records.
- Parent or guardian permissions.
- Emergency contacts.
- Payment and transaction references.
- Volunteer and sponsor inquiries.
- Approved photographs and media.
- Website usage and technical information.
Sensitive information will be collected only when justified and subject to appropriate safeguards.
12.3 Purposes
Information may be processed to administer competitions, evaluate applications, communicate with participants, protect safety, verify community projects, maintain records, comply with law, and operate the website.
Marketing communications require an appropriate legal basis and applicable consent or opt-out mechanisms.
12.4 Sharing
Information may be shared with authorized service providers, payment processors, insurers, venue operators, emergency responders, safeguarding personnel, or public authorities when necessary and lawful.
Private participant records will not be made publicly accessible merely because a person registers for a tournament.
12.5 Children
Youth records require heightened protection.
Public team profiles must not expose unnecessary personal information about minors.
The program will not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through services that lack the legally required privacy and parental consent arrangements.
12.6 Security
WisdomPhilanthropy will apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including appropriate access restrictions, secure transmission, protected storage, and incident-response procedures.
No online system can guarantee absolute security.
12.7 Retention
Information will be retained only as necessary for legitimate program, legal, financial, safeguarding, and operational purposes.
Retention periods must be documented by data category and territory.
12.8 Individual rights
Individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, depending on applicable law.
Requests should be submitted through the Privacy or Personal Data Request contact form or sent to contact@wisdomphilanthropy.org. See our Privacy Policy.
12.9 International data handling
Because Wisdom Cup may operate across countries, personal information may be processed or accessed across national borders where legally permitted and appropriately safeguarded.
Territory-specific privacy requirements must be assessed before launching local operations.
13. Media, Publicity and Participant Likeness
Wisdom Cup events may involve photography, filming, interviews, and event coverage.
Permission to participate in a tournament does not automatically grant unlimited permission to commercially exploit an individual's likeness.
Appropriate media notices and consent procedures will be used, with additional protections for minors.
Participants and guardians should be informed of relevant recording practices and available privacy choices.
Media submitted by teams must be lawfully obtained and authorized for the intended use.
WisdomPhilanthropy may remove content that violates privacy, intellectual property, safeguarding, or community standards.
14. Anti-Discrimination, Harassment and Inclusion
The Wisdom Cup is committed to respectful participation and fair treatment.
Unlawful discrimination, harassment, bullying, threats, or retaliation are prohibited.
Competition eligibility and division structures will be established through published rules, applicable law, sporting fairness considerations, and legitimate safety requirements.
Requests for reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law and operational feasibility.
Complaints will be handled through an appropriate, documented process.
15. Integrity, Conflicts of Interest and Anti-Corruption
Participants, officials, sponsors, staff, and volunteers must act honestly and avoid improper influence.
Prohibited activities include:
- Match fixing.
- Bribery.
- Manipulating eligibility.
- Falsifying results.
- Fabricating community impact.
- Misappropriating funds or equipment.
- Undisclosed conflicts affecting official decisions.
Officials and reviewers must disclose relevant conflicts.
No person should independently approve their own payment adjustment, disciplinary appeal, or community impact evaluation.
16. Territory-Specific Requirements
16.1 United States
Wisdom Cup USA activities are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Requirements may differ across states.
For the proposed Florida pilot, the organization must assess and implement applicable youth athletics, background screening, concussion, participant consent, event safety, insurance, and venue requirements.
The official Florida tournament regulations must be published before accepting registrations.
16.2 Jamaica
Wisdom Cup Jamaica is a planned territory.
No current competition, venue, registration period, or launch date is established merely by this policy.
Before local activities commence, WisdomPhilanthropy must establish applicable arrangements for sporting administration, safeguarding, event permissions, insurance, participant eligibility, privacy, payments, and local regulatory compliance.
Jamaica's Data Protection Act and applicable regulations must be considered for personal information processing within their scope.
16.3 Future territories
Before launching in another country or region, WisdomPhilanthropy will conduct a territory-specific compliance and operational review.
That review should address:
- Legal authority to conduct activities.
- Local organizing partners.
- Sports governance requirements.
- Youth safeguarding.
- Required permits and insurance.
- Data protection and international transfers.
- Taxes, payments, and currency.
- Employment and volunteer rules.
- Accessibility and consumer protections.
- Competition eligibility and dispute resolution.
A territory may be publicly listed as planned before these requirements are completed, but registration and event operations must not open prematurely.
17. Complaints, Disputes and Appeals
17.1 General complaints
Individuals may submit concerns about website use, event administration, conduct, or organizational decisions through the official contact channel.
17.2 Competition appeals
Sporting disputes must follow the official tournament protest and appeal procedure.
17.3 Safeguarding complaints
Safeguarding concerns receive priority and may require immediate protective action or referral to appropriate authorities.
17.4 Good-faith reporting
Retaliation against individuals who report legitimate concerns in good faith is prohibited.
17.5 Applicable law
Legal disputes are governed by applicable law and any valid, separately accepted agreement.
Nothing in these policies excludes mandatory legal rights, statutory protections, or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
18. Changes, Suspension and Cancellation
WisdomPhilanthropy may modify future program offerings, website functionality, or proposed competition arrangements.
Material changes affecting registered participants must be communicated in accordance with the applicable tournament agreement and law.
Published tournament rules should not be retroactively changed to unfairly disadvantage participants.
Events may be suspended or canceled where necessary for safety, legal compliance, or circumstances beyond reasonable operational control.
Any applicable refund or remedy obligations remain governed by the accepted terms and law.
19. Legal Notices and Limitations
WisdomPhilanthropy does not guarantee that every proposed competition, sponsorship opportunity, or community initiative will proceed.
Website information is provided for general program information and does not itself create a contract for tournament participation.
Separate agreements govern accepted registrations, sponsorships, services, and other contractual relationships.
Nothing in these policies limits liability where such a limitation is prohibited by law, excuses intentional misconduct, or removes mandatory protections owed to minors.
